The Battle Tower text glitch is only reported to occur in v1.0 of international Pokémon Crystal. The glitch causes Battle Tower opponents to only use texts associated with female Trainers, as the sixth character of the Trainer's OT name erroneously determines the gender.Pokémon Crystal disassembly
