This article details various glitch meta-map scripts for Pokémon Mansion 2F in Pokémon Red and Blue.

This script is controlled by memory address D63C.

Highlights

  • 0x01: Trainer escape glitch compatible script
  • 0x02: Unknown effect/game may not freeze
  • 0x03: Glitch audio may play, walking lag may occur. The beginning of Professor Oak's laboratory music may play repeatedly until the Start menu is opened, which will reveal a blank text box.
  • 0x04: Game may freeze
  • 0x05: Walking lag, map tile corruption
  • 0x06: Walking lag, map tile corruption (may be different corruption to 0x05)
  • 0x07: Glitch audio may play, walking lag, map tile corruption if step down (moreso than 0x06, 0x05), and may hide player sprite
  • 0x08: Game may freeze
  • 0x09, 0x12: Flower tile may appear on the upwards stairs
  • 0x0A: Game may freeze
  • 0x0B: Walking lag, map tile corruption
  • 0x0C: Game may freeze
  • 0x0D: Game may freeze
  • 0x0E: Unknown effect/game may not freeze
  • 0x0F: Game may freeze with black screen
  • 0x10: Game may freeze
  • 0x11: Glitch audio, walking lag
  • 0x13: Walking lag
  • 0x14: Player character may continuously walk down, controls may lock
  • 0x15: Unknown effect/game may not freeze
  • 0x16: Game may freeze
