Red-bar sound effect manipulation is considered a non-glitch exploit in Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow, although the effects of it itself appears to be unintended.

When the player sends out a Pokémon on low HP, it causes the equivalent cry with pitch $00 to play, which may shorten the cry and save time in a speedrun.
This has made the exploit useful for RTA and TAS playthroughs of Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow.
