(hex:96) is a glitch item in Pokémon Red and Blue.Using this glitch item from both outside of and within battle will throw a rock, like in the Safari Zone. This includes doubling the foe's catch rate constant.
If on the 'overworld' (02) sound bank, it will also play an isolated channel of a tune (possibly the 'follow me' theme). If used on the 'dungeon' (1F) sound bank it will instead play an isolated channel of the title screen music.
