A couple questions about Game Boys in general...

1. Would a Japanese Green version play on a US Game Boy (GBA SP most importantly)? And could the two Pok?mon Stadium games recognize it? I'm betting there'd be a version lock-out of sorts imposed, but I'm unsure.

2. How long do save batteries last in GBA cartridges? My Sapphire version is only a couple hours away from 300 hours played, and that's not counting the times I've shut it off without saving. I've really busted my ass for my Pok?Dex (nearly 300 kinds owned), as well as my Pok?mon themselves. I have observed great care while playing it, so I don't think it would be damaged or anything.

Any information here is appreciated.

The pokemon website - www.pokemon.com - says it's not safe to cross English/Japan games with a
Stadium of a different launage. It says weird things happen…
:o

I believe handheld game systems do not have region codes because you do not have to plug them into a television. In theory your Green should work on a GBA SP, but you might want to look it up somewhere first. Try Wikipedia.

So, it should work on American systems? And would it or would it not have a set of American text used if it's being played on a US/Euro GameBoy? I doubt it, but that'd be nice. And if I get ahold of one, I may trade with my Blue, since I always "take chances" with it.

Probably. The text would probably be the same, though.

Possibly. I've been reading around, and i've heard reports of traded Pok?mon corrupting. I bet Stadium will work fine though. But still, corrupted Pok?mon = glitches. Maybe new, maybe not. What if we can obtain some glitches like this that we'd usually have to cheat for?
