Ah, to be young and ignorant… ;)

Let's settle this with the man's way, with a children's card game!

Yugioh -> Devpro

Foolish boy, there is only one way a man settles his differences…

Dude that game is nearing the lines of warhammer 40k expensive. fuck that.

Cockatrice and Magic Workstation and OCTGN and GCCG and LackeyCCG are things.

Damn, wizards is uptight about that shit. So why is the online clients illegal?

Yeah besides, im not much of a magic player. I own a deck, but it's utter shit, and even if i were to download cockratice, it'd take me weeks to discover what the hell works, what cards go best with what, etc etc etc and if you know me at all, you'd know i'm not willing to put in that much effort into this.

…There's no profit in allowing people to play it for free online though

free advertisement. :P Hell, konami doesn't get PO'd about YGOPRO or duel network.

And besides, Magic is STILL the most profitable tcg out there, does it really matter that they lose like 120 dollars a year in profit? Because people are still going to play in tournaments and shit, just sayin'.

They don't allow it. They actually went after Cockatrice with a cease and desist.

Free advertising is nice but from their point of view it's not free since it actually cuts into their profits. They have an online version of the game as well (which, believe it or not, is as expensive as the physical game).

You have two jobs:

1) Know your role
2) Shut your mouth

and you're pretty s**t at both of them.

No i have 1 job

1) Not break rules.

:P doing alright at that these days.

You sound like me when I first joined GCLF…

Also shoutout to whoever finally redirected glitchcity.info to the FORUMS instead of that goddamn maitenance message. Hopefully that will encourage more people to check us out.

oh that got fixed?
Nice. Give them a warm thank you from me too.

So I hear the pokemon tcg is running low on funds.

Yeah, I figured that it was "complete" enough for people to browse the wiki and post on the forums, so having that maintenance thing wasn't doing any good. Plus, I had to change the message for OTC because it was outdated, so I figured I might as well update the GCL one as well

This doesn't mean everything is 100% fixed of course - I had people claiming I should just end the beta because it's "good enough", and now in the "future of the wiki" thread (which I need to post in eventually) people are discussing bugs in the wiki, which evidently means it's not good enough!

There's a subtle difference between things and things. OCTGN and LackeyCCG might exist, but are they things like Cockatrice and MTGO are?

Not to mention that out of all of those, all but two are proprietary and Windows/OS X only, which rules them out immediately for me. Not surprisingly, out of all those (including Cockatrice) I think GCCG is actually the most interesting (multiple game support and scripting support!).

Yeah, I like GCCG. The problem is that there's usually no-one on. D: But I think the support for all different formats (the guy said he's even going to put Conspiracy in!) outweighs that.

I wonder how well Cockatrice runs when compiled on Linux…
