Save Wikipedia Glitch City Topic

Greetings all.

I don't play pokemon, but when I found the Wikipedia article on Glitch City I was fascinated.

Unfortunately, theres a move by some of the wikipedia editors to remove all the references to glitches.  In fact they did just that.

I have attempted to save the article, but it is currently up for deletion again by the forces of darkness.

If you'd like Wikipedia to keep its article on pokemon's Glitch City, make your voice heard!  Just be sure to argue clearly and politely.  They claim that Glitch City isn't notable and is unverified, and that it is unnecessary to mention these glitches.

I say they are quite notable, well documented, and that a balanced discussion of these pokemon games should include the glitches.

You can find the article here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glitch_City

And the place to post your reasoned support of keeping the article here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Glitch_City

Hope to hear from you. :)

Well, I did my best to put something about here and TRsRockin, but I couldn't really understand why he wanted to delete the article, so I couldn't put too much.

To be honest, new users from this forum will be discounted as sockpuppets (alternate accounts used to give the appearance of a group opinion) or meatpuppets (actual people working at the behest of one user). At Wikipedia you're usually assumed to be a sockpuppet at first. Sad, but true. So this won't work out - consensus already seems to be delete, and "I like this subject" (called the "WP:ILIKEIT" argument) is generally frowned upon.

Honestly I have no problem with Wikipedia deleting its page. Way back when it also had a page about the MissingNo. glitch, but that got merged into the main Red/Blue article. Wikipedia's external links policy prevents the use of "unreliable sources"; fansites fall into this category (although for some reason the MissingNo article had links to trsrockin.com, anyone who tried to reference this site got reverted on the basis of reliability). I can see that standpoint; anything a fansite says can't be taken at face value.

I'd advocate for a merge myself, but it seems even the glitch section of the R/B article got wiped.

They should at least see the sheer amount of places that say about it that have good grammar. But yeah, I agree with Abwayax in a way that it doesn't need a page. However I'm all for keeping the content.

Artichoker might not even play pokemon! Also, on other news, I had to nominate the Kanto, Hoenn, and Johto articles for Deletion.

And you must now unnominate them.

No need to. The region articles will pass.
