Q only exists in Yellow version. Therefore, it follows that you need Yellow version to get Q.

Thought so, I was just hoping
that by chance there would be
a  way to get it, might I be able
to get it by using the cloaking glitch?

Umm… why do you need to cloak if it's only between Red and Blue?

And no.

Well in GSC if you put the ?????
in front of your party and it cloaks
the rest of your party therefore letting
you trade GSC pokemon to RB resulting
in certain glitches.

I know what I'm talking about please don't make me sound like a dumbass.

No, you can't get Q in Red or Blue by any method because it doesn't exist in those games. However, Charizard 'M does the cloaking trick in Red/Blue.

… however, it turns out the only confirmed way to get Charizard 'M is to trade Q from Yellow version. :/
