Another safe method to get any Pokemon?

This method changes one of your Pokemon to any Pokemon by hybridizing and stablizing it. I don't understand how this works, but seems the Pokemon obtained depends on the current HP of the Pokemon used. This is safer than the Ditto Trick as you don't have to enter the battle screen.

If this was already posted here before (the video is 1.5 year old), please kindly point me to the right thread.

I can't seem to get this to work, I think I keep messing up on a step. >.< So Paco was the guy who discovered this glitch? He's a pretty awesome dude, I wonder how exactly did he discover so many glitches. :V (I guess it just randomly happens, as it did when I discovered new glitches myself.)

Yes. Paco81 started this thread about it on the temporary forums last June.

According to Paco81, in order for the glitch to work, the end of the box value DA95 (Yellow: DA94) must not be FF. If you have ever had 20 Pokémon in one box, this value changes from 00 to FF.

Additionally, changing boxes will change 00 to FF, except on VisualBoyAdvance where there is an emulation error. For this reason the glitch only works on a Box 1 that has never been filled. (more information here):

"When you start a new game, the Hex value in DA95 is 00 only in the Box1, if you change to other box (box2 to box12) the hex value in DA95 change to FF and for this reason the glitch does not work on other boxes although never been used."

In my case, the glitch works on other boxes because a possible emulation error, I start my game using the old GBC emulator VisualBoy 1.4.12, this emulator created the SAV file and for some reason, when changing box the Hex value in DA95 is 00 in all the boxes.

I'm sure this didn't randomly happen :P

And this makes me dizzy… wait what?

Yet another Mew Trick that I don't understand at all.

Me neither. An important part of it though is using the Surf glitch to get an encounter on the rock tile.

This is similar to the 'Tentacools in the Grass' glitch, which strangely doesn't work in the English versions.

You can use it to encounter Missingno. on Spanish Red/Blue.

In your video, you mentioned that the Old Man Glitch works in Yellow using no-clipping. Does it really work? If it does, can we walk on the water in Viridian City instead to encounter the glitch?

I meant Spanish Red/Blue, as Surfing on the water strip gives only Tentacool in the Spanish version, unless you do the walk through walls glitch to walk on the water instead.

Unfortunately, it seems only Pokémon from the last route appear for some reason. (when I use the default name ROJO[END]ASH[END]JA which would give Missingno. L142 (8h), Missingno. L142 (50h), Missingno. L128 (92h) and Golduck L137 in English versions)

No Pokémon appear on the water strips of towns or cities.
