Do the save abuse glitch, and instead, switch  the first Ultra ball (screen brightness) with the second Masterball stack, and toss 0-255. THis works better because:
1. It always works.
2. You can go to any area.

Doesn't it always work and allow you to go to any area anyway ? I mean with the normal technique. I don't remember limitations.

Yes, depending on what you throw away and in what order.

Experimenting is much more fun though.

Cool.

Are you still changing D364 (exit destination?) with the Ultra Ball quantity? If your x-position block (D363) is 1, then D364 may be the second Master Ball.

If so, I see how screen brightness (D35C) is often always 00, unless you're in Rock Tunnel (where it will be 06); so regardless of what building you are in, you can access anywhere by tossing the D363 item (item 36).

In your house D364 is 00 (256) by default (Pallet Town's map ID), and you can access all other maps by tossing 1-255. But in other maps D364 is greater than 0, so you can only toss a limited amount. Hence a swap is usually required to make D364 0 again in buildings outside of Pallet Town.

Ah, yes of course. I was not thinking about this.

This makes it very interesting then  :D

Yeah :)

When I did my video about map FE corruption, I was not aware of this and used my own Master Ball x254 when trying to access map 254 from the Pokémon Center; when I could have used the 00 brightness value to get Ultra Ball x0 in D363/D364 then tossed two to get 254.
