What would happen if someone traded a ????? 00000 to blue version from G/S/C? Would it be like an equivelent trade or would it cancel out?

I would assume an equivalent trade, as long you had #255 on top of your list in G/S/C.

Yes, I'm sure of that, but would it create a not yet discovered glitch?

Nah, 'M. Unless the trade wouldn't work.

This has already been done.  Using FE, FF, 00, or any other ????? besides EGG's hex will cloak the party if placed in the first slot.  Using this go into the "time machine" and trade with R/B/Y.  The traded pokemon from Johto assuming that it is a Johto pokemon will either turn into an 'M or the hex equivalent of the pokemon in G/S/C that was not in R/B/Y.  Sometimes an 'M is received when trading pokemon that weren't in R/B/Y like this.

Uh, I only had it cloaked with FF.

Then you cloak with FF for the glitch to work.
