This is another nice non-freezing glitch map in English Gold/Silver.

By sheer coincidence as well, you may be placed on tile above a Surf tile when you get there. You can use a rod in this spot and encounter Pokémon over Level 200 (Umbreon and Hypno), Bulbasaur, ????? and possibly more Pokémon as well.

To access this glitch map, go to Cherrygrove City Pokémon Center (important, other Pokémon Centers can freeze) and enter GameShark codes 01DA00DA, 010001DA. Go up and down the stairs. You may be placed in the glitch map.

Now face the tile one tile below you and use a rod to get Pokémon.

I haven't explored this area with walk through walls yet though, which might be interesting.

This is like a map hibiki ganaha found with wild Celebi.

The map plays the Vermilion City music and is at a glitched location in Kanto on Pokégear map.

Edit:

More finds!

Good Rod:
Jigglypuff, Corsola, Staryu

Old Rod:
????? (FF), Ho-Oh, Jolteon

Also try saving and resetting. I've had different effects happen depending on where you were standing including non-freezes.

Hi,
I try to go there using the Gameshark codes you mentionned but it desn't work.

Is there any special conditions apart the CherryGrove City Pokemon Center?
I'm using English Gold/Silver.

Hi.

Sorry, I completely forgot to mention another requirement. You must keep these codes on then go up and down the stairs otherwise you won't warp.

Still doesn't work unknown opcode fc at 8019.

I tried PalletTown warp code and it works, don't know why.

That's a shame. That's probably something about the map then as you definitely warp regardless of the third and fourth digit in the code after going down the stairs.

Pallet Town and all real location codes with 01xx00DA 01xx01DA codes should work as they are properly defined.

Maybe keep trying it from different Pokémon Centers.

Edit: Or there's the chance it could be an emulator error that it doesn't work.

Edit 2: Shouldn't be something too big that's causing it to not work as got it on my Game Boy Advance SP save that hasn't advanced much from a new game.

So is it possible only on real cardriges?

It doesn't work in VBA anyway.
How did you get it?

It has never been a good emulator. Try BGB, Gambatte, mGBA, and/or even VBA-M (the present-day maintained version of VBA).

Either there are specific unseen requirements that cause this not to work (which is more common than not, for example the border tiles of the glitch map seems to vary per save file), or it could just be an outdated version of VBA, so if you download the latest one it might work.

https://github.com/visualboyadvance-m/visualboyadvance-m

I tested this on both VBA v24 svn422 and Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console (TM17 code execution and GameShark codes) and Game Boy Advance SP (GameShark codes).

Hope that works out for you.

I tested on your recommanded VbaM version and it almost worked?
I say almost because it doesn't seem to be the same place than yours.

Edit: I did another try with a new save and lol. Is it totally random?

Ah that's interesting. Darn you glitch, why do you have to be so random lol?

I think maybe if this or a similar tile appears in your Glitch City you may be able to use a rod on it if you disable walk through walls before using the rod.

The walk through walls codes are this if you don't have them:

0108A3CE
0108A4CE
0108A5CE
0108A6CE

Thanks,
It finally works after a third try,

Now my question is: why Corsola is so fucking rare?
I mean I'm pretty sure that I'll get a shiny Jigglypuff before.

Got it, it was  time exclusive.

I also tried to get hibiki ganaha glitch but without the exact location it's really hard + there is a lot of corruptions.
