Very very minor glitch..but documented at PokéCommunity (with asm hacking to fix it).

Kinda offtopic, but the same board has asm hacking to fix the Pomeg Glitch in Emerald.

This is already on the wiki, the technical information on that topic is very useful though, thanks.  :)

Heh. Look at my avatar is the simple answer, the other being that the Pomeg Glitch is just about the most awesome thing you can do in the 3rd Gen games, so in all fairness, it's really dumb to kill it. It would be like trying to find a way not to go to the Underground in D/P/Pt.

heh. And the way of killing it is really dumb, it prevents the usage of Pomeg berries on Pokémon that have HP below 3.

Ha. Unless Emerald is different, by having 120+ HP EVs, you can bypass that. 4 HP EVs = 1 stat, so at 4/233 for example, a Pomeg Berry will bring your HP down to 65,535/228, because the Pomeg Berry will bring your HP EVs down from 120 to 100; 20 EVs, which = 5 stats. PokeCommunity is so phail.

The species names present in FireRed and LeafGreen are cut off in early English releases of the games, most specifically those species names made up of more than one word with a space in between. This causes Pokémon like Pidgey to be listed as "Tiny Pokémon" rather than "Tiny Bird Pokémon." Internal game data  lists the species name the same as it appears in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald and other games, indicating a glitch in the Pokédex where a blank space is confused for the terminating byte for the name. This was addressed in later releases of the game. This is the easiest way to tell whether the game in question is a v1.0 or v1.1 release.

Thanks for the info. Now I know how to differentiate both versions which will make things easier. :)

No, it will bring you to 0 HP.

Actually, if 4 EVs does equal one stat he is correct (apparantly is true for level 100 Pokémon); the Pomeg Berry will always revert the amount of HP EVs back to 100 if the value is >100. A Pokémon with 120 HP EVs would lose 20 this way.  20/4 = 5. So a Pokémon with 120 HP EVs would lose 5 HP.

This is not always the case though, (same source says that at level 50 it is 8 EVs for one stat).

Only in gen 4 you can lose a large amount of hp as far as I know.
