With regard to this glitch, I know nothing about it other than its execution.

Basically, how does it work?  :P

As far as I can understand, the game sort of does part of a save before it asks you if you want to save.  It saves your position and part and items, but doesn't save what's in your PC.  So if you shut the game off, your PC will revert but you will still be standing in front of the battle tower person with your withdrawn party.
