Pokemon Heart Gold Glitch

Ok so i was battling Ho-oh and used my masterball and Ho-oh broke out of it.
The second time I tried to catch Ho-oh with a master ball it said that the trainer blocked the ball and then said "Don't be a theif!"
The third time I finaly got the master ball to catch it.
I am just wondering why did this happen and what could have made this happen.

Well that certainly is interesting, but if it happened, it was probably just a random error on your game. Unless its a bootleg or something like that. What did you do before you battled ho-oh?

it proably was just a random error.  But, i just wanted to make sure.
I traded my legit arcus to my heart gold and then i climbed the tower to get to ho-oh.

I looked around and found that it was a random error.
