Potential ways to permanently damage hardware using ACE?

ACE is a powerful tool, but would it be possible to permanently damage hardware using it? And if so, what would be the extent of the damage?

I realize the chances of this happening accidentally are very slim. The main reason I'm asking is because on TI-83 and TI-84 calculator families you can very easily destroy the LCD by enabling test mode and I was curious if there was something similar on the Game Boy.

This thread sorta explains it, but really it's just this:

I believe the only way you could damage anything on cart is turning off the screen during vblank, but i highly doubt you'd do that on accident.

And even then, only applies to handheld GBs, play on a Super Gameboy or Gameboy Player and that can't even happen.
