in darunia, jump up to the tallest building and jump up off-screen and use the fairy spell. then move up and you'll fall down a secret hole to a glitch city!!! That's right! Pok?mon was not the first game to have a glitch city!!!
To make it glitch up even worse, repeatedly go into the building near the west exit.

Well duh. It's possible to make an astronomical number of these glitches in any game by pointing the game to an unrelated piece of information and making it handle it as layout data. For instance, I could make a "GlitchZone" in a Sonic game by making the level layout pointer of a zone point to some random spot in the ROM. Presto! Glitchy, unplayable Green Hill (or whatever I decided to use).

Yeah. This is actually how I made my Red hack, Dimension ?. I changed the hex value for Pokemon data pointers to point to a garbage location, resulting in glitched Pokemon.

All computer data are made of binary codes, and binary codes can be used for any kind of data. Games often simply have no byte(s) that tell what kind of data it is, so you can usually use anything in place of a tile, map, text, and sometimes sound.

I tried this on my NES emulator. It does send Link into a hole but Link always ends up in some place not glitchy and sometimes gets stuck into a wall or ground. But sometimes when you exit the place Link ends up somewhere strange, like on top of water.

If you talk to the people and look at the signs,n you'll notice that this is a jumble of towns.
To make it glitch up even worse, repeatedly go into the building near the west exit.

doing so will make buildings appear and disappear, and mess up buildings.

Now I get it! Maybe it's not as scrambled up as Glitch City but it does mess up. I remember finding a Glitch City in Earthbound, but you needed a Game Genie.

Edit: I found out that it messes up a lot of the game too after doing Glitch Village. (Yep, that's what I call the Zelda II Glitch City.) Or maybe it's just my JNes emulator.

In the Water Temple, there are falling blocks. Wait for them to finish filling up, then hack a tunnel into it and get to the top. Then you can just use Fairy if you left the top blocks alone.

Edit 2: I just found out that Glitch Village can allow you to enter the last palace without all the crystals! Well, in JNes. if it's just a emulation thing.

I think you would need boots to go there. Get to the land and get to the 7th palace, and it should be messed up. Just try to get to the left and to the elevator, and you'll get through the force field somehow, but you will also be hurt by it.
