I guess people will come and go when the site is ready, except for a small amount of people who post on a regular basis. I think that's the very nature of the 1% rule. If people automatically label something as stable community (i.e. everything is running smoothly), they probably expect GCL to be 'doing things' and not the individuals themselves.

I think this is partly the reason why a handful of people worked together when the site was in maintenance on new glitches, and we had a surge of new members because people knew that GCL was down and struggling. I think we should be grateful for what happened, because it encouraged Adrian to continue maintenance on the site even though he started to dislike Pokémon. I suppose it can probably work the other way too, when you misinterpret something as overly stable e.g. Wikipedia.
