GCLf GOLDENBALLS

Welcome to the official GCLf Goldenballs information topic.

I will soon start running games of GCLf Goldenballs, a forum game based on the popular ITV gameshow "Golden Balls". If you have not seen the show before, you can view its wikipedia page here.
Note: Cash values for prize boundaries are subject to change during the first few games if they seem unreasonable in any way.Hall of Fame

Rules

Okay, well, not rules as such. This post is more, for explaining how the rounds will flow for a game of however number of players. Please note, I have created 'Flow of Play' for games of any number of players between 8 and 18 inclusive. Therefore, a game cannot start with fewer than 8 players, and a game cannot have any more than 18 players. If a game fills up to 18 players before you join, you have missed out, sorry.

Actual rules:

Okay, there are a few general rules, but they don't really say a lot. They are mostly just common sense:

Bin or Win

One final killer ball will be added to the game to bring the number of Goldenballs in the 'Bin or Win' round up to 11. Gameplay will then continue in a similar fashion to the ITV gameshow with each of the 2 remaining players taking turns to choose one ball to bin, follwed by one to win, starting with the player who brought the most money through from the previous round. After 10 balls have been chosen to win, the remaining Goldenball will be binned.

Split or Steal

After being told their final possible jackpot and being given time to discuss with each other their final decisions, the 2 finalists must PM the host their choice to either "Split" or "Steal" their jackpot.

If both players split, they both win half the total of their jackpot.

If one player chooses split, while the other goes for steal, the player who chose steal wins the WHOLE jackpot.

If both players choose to steal, neither win anything.

Prizes will then be given out and a new game will start if there is enough interest for another.

Yeah, GCL staff are not going to enforce any of this.  That includes "prize" "stealing".

Edit: this is in response to a deleted bump Ketsuban made.

We're not stickying it, either.
