Welcome to the GLITCH BATTLE COLOSSEUM!
The Glitch Battle Colosseum is a place for role-play battles between Glitch (and normal) Pok?mon. The battles will be conducted in more of a role-play style than a game style–there will be no HP counts or precise measurements of Pok?mon condition, although there is still expected to be some order, and the general mechanics of battle will be identical to those of the Red/Blue Pok?mon games.
Below are the rules:
[li]Your team must be composed of 3 Glitch or Normal Pok?mon, like a Pok?mon Stadium team.[/li]
[li]This RPG takes place in the RBY era; therefore, you may only use Pok?mon and attacks that existed in the Red/Blue/Yellow Version games.[/li]
[li]Your Pok?mon may have attacks that they can obtain by any means except the Q Glitch. They can, however, have attacks obtained by other glitched means, such as evolving from a Glitch Pok?mon.[/li]
[li]All Pok?mon are Level 255. This means that Glitch Pok?mon can have attacks that they learn over Level 100.[/li]
[li]No godmodding. That is, no making your attacks too powerful, no making your Pok?mon always dodge attacks, and no posting things like "My .4 freezes the game and you lose!!!" or "My 3TrainerPok? launches a gigantic Hyper Beam that destroys the planet and sends you hurtling into oblivion!!!"[/li]
[li]No posting actions for someone else's character or determining if your own attacks hit. Your opponent should post what happens when your attacks hit their Pok?mon.[/li]
[li]Although the battles are more about role-playing than rules and numbers, a rule about turns still applies: Each combatant posts once, and then their opponent posts, and then they post again, and so on. Each post should contain only one turn's worth of actions, which is usually the result of your opponent's last attack, and then your Pok?mon using one attack. The one-turn-per-post rule applies even if a Pok?mon is asleep/frozen/whatever–even if you have to post "My Pok?mon lies asleep as it is pummeled into the ground", you must do it before your opponent can post again.[/li]
[li]No using Super Glitch. Too much potential for godmodding. As a basic rule, no Pok?mon in the colosseum may know the Super Glitch move.[/li]
[li]Free-for-all battles with more than two sides are allowed–this is a role-playing battle colosseum, after all, and it is not necessarily bound by the exact same rules as the video game. Because only one battle can be occuring at a time, if more than two people want to battle at the colosseum, they can all battle in a free-for-all match, Smash Bros. style. (The same battle rules and mechanics apply, though.)[/li]
[li]Although battles between more than two people can occur, new members cannot join in the middle of an existing battle, because it would give them an unfair advantage.[/li]
[li]NO DOUBLE POSTING. Ever. If you must add something extra when you've already posted, edit your last post.[/li]
[li]While not strictly against the rules, out-of-character discussion is discouraged. If you must talk OOC, PM the person instead.[/li]
You must post your team and character description before starting to battle. You are allowed to change it later on, but not directly before or during a battle. Instead of describing how to post this, I will provide an example below with my own:
Character Name: Ace
