Ever wonder why Abwayax and I are almost always on the GCL chatroom?

That's because we don't use a browser IRC client. We use mIRC, which is for Windows, but can also be run in Linux through WINE. It's shareware, but it can actually be used forever without even paying for it. When the limit reaches 0, it still allows you to use it. (I wonder why they even try to sell it. :-\) Download it from: http://www.mirc.com/

mIRC doesn't go into Internet Explorer, Firefox or any other web browser, but actually is a separate program. That means you can surf the web while chatting on an IRC server such as Abwayax's server, where #glitchcity is run on. That's why we don't always reply in less than a minute after someone joins.

You'll have to add Abwayax's server to the list of servers when you run it, by clicking on Servers on the left in the dialog that appears when you start it for the first time. Just press "Add" then enter in the following from this image:

Yeah, I made this announcement because I actually care about #glitchcity. XD

There are lots of different 'scripts' for mIRC to make it a bit better. I use UPP myself
(download from http://www.upp-irc.tk) and has file serving facilites, away notification and lots more added on to mIRC.

Hey, you should check out this cool IM program I use, Trillian.  It allows me to talk to people on all the major IM networks.  You can find out more about it at http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/.:P

Well I use that, mainly because I can't be bothered to get other programs.
