Layout modified

if you noticed on the main site, the layout has been changed around a bit.

Technically, I switched from divs to tables (I feel more comfortable with tables) and got rid of absolute positioning in the style sheet (some browsers were messing up on some things, like the content area stretching to the right menu, and the top menu being disproportioned).

Leave all comments about it here.

Are you using a browser other than Firefox, or is my Firefox messed up? I'm not using Firefox 2 Beta.

The layout is still kind of messed up and a big gray box is blocking me from seeing the annoucements.

Refresh or something

It worked for me on both Firefox 1.5 and IE 7

I refreshed and now it's normal except for some changes.

Crazy 1 gigabyte cache. :P

You sure you want a cache that large?

I got a 100 gigabyte hard disk, but so far I used only 21.7 gigabytes.

On the 404 error page, there is no right sidebar and the left sidebar stretches across half of the screen. Just wanted to let you know about that. The new layout seems to work correctly otherwise, but after loading the page, Seamonkey says "Connecting to localhost…" in the taskbar. Methinks you accidentally left a reference to localhost in your HTML/PHP code somewhere. :P

it's actually that "commenting is disabled" thing, that's what's messing up the layout. fixed

and I'll look at it - I don't think I ever referenced localhost; I think I used 127.0.0.1

I saw "Connecting to localhost…" too in Firefox.

What is "prchecker.info" anyway? It sounds like some kind of pop-up or ad site.

it's a site that checks our Google pagerank. last I checked the main page had a PR of 3.

I got that in a Google toolbar for Firefox, but I don't really trust it.

why? divs pwn tables. All that's needed is just to delete the spam in the comments.
