NASA has released their first recent pictures of Mercury's surface today!

After a journey of more than 2.2 billion miles and three and a half years, NASA's MESSENGER spacecraft made its first flyby of Mercury just after 2 p.m. EST on Jan. 14, 2008. The pictures were released today!!! ;D and Mercury is a lot different than what scientists expected…

Also, theres a space probe heading for pluto around 2014 or so, even though Pluto isnt technically a planet anymore ^,^

It's an icy ball. That's all it is. We stripped Pluto of its dignity. But it will always be a planet to me.

Plutomania will occur. You know, just like how Beatlemania was? A crowd of people gathers around images from the satellite and hundred of teenage girls scream "WE LOVE YOU PLUTO!!!!" as the whole crowd cheers as Pluto finally comes into view.

Can you see that happening in 2014?
