I find Halloween so blown out of proportion. IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A DAY TO SCARE SPIRITS, PEOPLE. NOT TAKE CANDY AND DRESS UP AS CUTE LITTLE PRINCESSES.

QFT

We didn't get any trick or treaters. In fact I don't think we ever have.

You're lucky. Last year, when my mom gave some candy to one of the dozens of trick-or-treaters, they said 'Is that all?'

Consequently, we didn't give out candy this year.

We had none to give out as I knew there wasn't going to be any trick or treaters again this year.

More than likely the reason we've never got trick-or-treaters is because we live a good ways out of the way of town. We live on a dirt road about a quarter mile off the main road. Not a lot of people would walk that far out of the way.

Not many would come to where I am as there's a lot of flats and all.

Honestly, I saw a lot of scary costumes this year, then there was the fairies and the Sherlock Holmes people.

In fact, my friend went as Sherlock Holmes.

I love Halloween, its my favourie holiday.
I went to my cousins house who set up little graveyard and I dressed as a Werewolf. The kids all got a scare out of me. X3 Two of my cousins friends dressed as Vampires and handed out bags of candy, then told the kids they could get more candy from me if they dared to try. >:3

Sounds like you had a blast, Naitekiakki. Guild Wars sucked for me again, bastards have messed with the AI and I lost the Survivors Title yet again. ¬¬

I respect the scary origins of Halloween, but where I am it's so watered down that there's no point in being scary at all. The entire thesis of the holiday has been degraded to begging for candy, and one gets more candy with non-scary costumes. I like candy, so I went as a fish (not scary.) It worked; I got extra candy for having a homemade costume. In essence, I would try to be something more scary, but a) if I did my parents would probably have a heart attack when they saw my true personality and b) I have a weakness for massive Snickers bars. Still, it sounds like you all had some fun, so it's not completely gone.

Are you kidding? A fish is terrifying.

Sharks are. I didn't go as anything other than myself. I'm 21, too old for halloween and it's been watered down too much.

Like Wa, I realize that Halloween has been degraded by society (just like Christmas), but a giant-sized Three Musketeers bar is a giant-sized Three Musketeers bar. *smiles lazily as he chews on said bar*

I got a giant Hershey. It tasted like greatness.

Yeah, Hershey's my second fave candy (Three Musketeers is first). *now smiles lazily as he chews on mini Hersheys*
