As we quickly approach midnight for most of the United States and other parts of the world…

Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Happy Kwanzaa - whatever you celebrate, I hope this holiday season treats you all well and that your days are filled with joy.

It was decent. I'm waiting for tomorrow though, you know, it's a tradition.

Also, we went to Animal Kingdom. The breakfast buffet at that park is to die for.

I got:

    [li]A new headset[/li]
[li]A new keyboard (sadly not mechanical, though)[/li]
[li]A book about Japan in 1941[/li]
    [li]Some nice notebook paper[/li]
    [li]An FSU hat whose fit I don't like[/li]
    [li]A charging-device holder thing[/li]
    [li]Gel pens[/li]
    [li]A smol coloring book[/li]
    [li]A leather FSU keychain[/li]
    [li]A Nintendo New 3DS[/li]
    [li]Alpha Sapphire[/li]
[li]A compilation of classic Sega games[/li]
    [li]A Blu-Ray player and streaming device[/li]
    [li]A bunch of clothes[/li]
Also, we went to Animal Kingdom. The breakfast buffet at that park is to die for.

Sounds like quite the haul!

The highlight of my Christmas was probably either the VR headset I got or the Amazon Alexa Dot that I got. The Dot makes me feel like I'm Iron Man and have my own personal assistant, while the VR headset is, while cheap, super cool to experience. I've already been in the ocean, in New York, and on a roller-coaster with it… pretty cool.

Got a few Wii U games as well - Paper Mario Color Splash, Star Fox Zero, and Xenoblade X. That'll probably hold me over until March when the Switch comes out.

Christmas was a dazzling success in the Watermeleon family. I received a pair of cowboy boots, a rechargeable toothbrush, a portable waffle iron, and a brand new copy of Windows XP. For brunch we had spaghetti and meatballs (but made out of tuna instead of beef because my uncle is a vegetarian). The only thing on my wish list that got snubbed was a CD of the Mulan soundtrack, but maybe if I'm a good boy I'll get one for Mardi Gras.

Merry Christmas!

Long time no see! Those portable waffle irons are really great. I have one at my apartment and use it nearly every day for breakfast. Super helpful.

I don't know a ton about Mardi Gras aside from the fact that it's typically the day before Ash Wednesday and it involves a lot of beads and eating. As a member of the US though I see a lot of parades from New Orleans during it, not much from France.

Christmas over here was pretty awesome.

Some of the cooler things were:

Oh man, New Orleans is crazy 95% of the year, but it's a whole different story during Mardi Gras. Tons of parades, parties, drinking (SO much drinking), all sorts of debauchery, and general insanity. There's so much going on that even the police back off almost entirely, otherwise the whole town might be arrested.

Imagine combining about 500 frat parties, some of the best food you'll ever eat, the term "Southern Hospitality", tons of beads flying from every direction, and some of the weirdest shenanigans you'll ever hear of in your lifethat's essentially Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
