I have to say I didn't really know you, but that's sad to hear and hopefully you'll be back soon.

Good luck I guess. Thinks really haven't been super interesting here anyway I guess, so think of it more as a hiatus or something.  :)

Why don't parents like this site? It seems perfectly OK to me.

So, why have you been banned from it? It's not as if you'd be stupid enough to meet any of us, even if any of us were paedophiles (although somehow I doubt that), & what would be the chances any of us would be in the same area as you anyway?

That should be the only reason your parents could use to ban you from here, any others would be just plain stupid. No offence to your parents (or anyone elses) intended.

Aw, poo I hate it when this kind of stuff happens. GCLF rules, parents don't know what they are talking about. Although the same could happen to me and the chatroom so I best be on guard  :-\.

I highly doubt that parents would disapprove of an overly G-Rated chatroom. :/

On topic: Geez, that sucks. Try to convince your parents otherwise, and either way i hope you can get back here soon. It always sucks to lose a member around here.

Well, you never really seemed to be active anyway, so it's weird that the first thing when you come back on is that you'll be gone for another few months…anyway I would like to know why they banned you from it, they probaly don't know what they're talking about anyway.

Not sure that's exactly how I'd describe our chat. :P Even #glitchcitylabs would probably be rated about PG (well when people actually come on, lol).

Parents are overcontrolling.

The only things in this universe more oppressive than myself, apparently.

Well my parents don't mind. They know exactly what I am doing, what status I have on the forum, what the forum is about and know that the chat is safe because I understand what I am doing and I know the risks.
My parents may understand more than yours though because they are computer literate and spend most of their time on computers, e-mailing, writing programs and general computer stuff so understand it better.

I increasingly find myself getting in a linux/unix conversation with my Dad.
I think that parents who ban their children from computers due to them going on research site have no understanding of the internet's true potential and are wrong for doing it (Porn sites and failing at school is a different matter though)
