It just makes sense.

Adrian Monk from the show 'Monk' has 312 fears and many Obsessive Compulsions. He has to have things perfect and even. For example, when somebody sets the alarm to 7:53, he gets upset saying that it needs to be 8:00. Since the metric system is based on 10, it seems logical that he would use it.

Oh, and just a little tidbit:
The US is legally metric.

But units of time are in base 60?

Really, the units we should be using are Planck?s units (obviously to some power), but then again what non‐physicist would care?
