Inspiration does not equal theft. Of course the stories were heavily inspired by "Real Ultimate Power", but then again, that site is usually cited as the origin of the "Ninjas vs Pirates" meme.

And I haven't read the book.

Isn't there a secret Pirate Vs Ninja battle on Ratchet and Clank 3 (up your arse-'n'-all)
The robot-ninja always wins Robot-Ghost-Pirate is way to slow, but it has got some really good moves.
