Great! Thanks for that, for some reason though on my Gold version the names do not change but the effects do, I might try and delete my save to see if having the continue button influences this

I'm trying to get something in the way of animation for the more complicated options, but YouTube takes forever. I'm trying to find an AVI to GIF converter, because the one I found was shareware and couldn't convert. I'm not going to pay twenty freakin' dollars for something I'm probably only gonna use once.

What happens if you use the code for Continue when you have no save?

Just use Youtube. its only slow if your files are huge and you can do something else while you wait.

Or you could get an AVI to FLV and make your own Flash Video Collection

Question is, where would I store said collection?

I have  a GIF animator which supports AVI, it lets you open AVI files but they turn out to be a few thousand frames; however you can cut them out.

Its an old program though from Windows 95 so it makes the GIFs a little 16 bit. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/13212

EDIT:

What happens if you use the code for Continue when you have no save?

I've tried it, it opens a window the prompts you to open a save named "PLAYER" with no badges and no pokedex and no play time.

After pressing it the game freezes but the next time you play the game you have every option including continue and mystery gift, not sure why mystery gift is there

Well, I was bored, so I played around with more of these:

2A: "CNAME". Does nothing.
2B: Invalid opcode which crashed KiGB
2C: "BPOK? CPOK?". Another invalid opcode.
2D: "Dri Grr". Crashes game with orange bars.
2E: Very long name which overflows so you have to keep pressing A at the menu screen to get through it. Crashes game with purple bars.
2F: Resets game into glitchy colors.
30: Does nothing at first, but if you press it again it resets the game.
31: "W2(G". Does nothing.
32: "WZ(G". Also does nothing.
33: "W (G". Yet another does nothing.
34: "W(G". D-no wait, it resets the game into glitchy colors. If you press it after that it crashes the game with purple bars.

And that's all I can be stuffed doing for now.
