Loading Blue save on Yellow

Near 0x0000 there is a series of values that store the name of the game.  I changed POKEMON YELLOW to POKEMON BLUE which let me load my Blue save onto it.  See what happened youself (note: this was in the pewter pokemon center).

You don't actually need to do that. With VBA you can just do File > Import > Battery file and select your Pokemon Blue save file.

That's probably the point. On a related note, try playing Pokemon Quartz or some other hack and loading a savestate into an unpatched Pokemon Ruby. Bricks will be shat.
