While browsing some of the forums here, I have noticed that alot(and I mean alooooot) of people use pok?mon  instead of the proper form(pok?mon)

can anyone tell me why this is so?
do none of you know how to type the ? key?
does the site codes reject it?
are people to lasy to just type the proper code in?
is there some problem i can not imagine?

please explain why people use the ? instead of ?.

We had a crash, causing us to have to restore the forum.
The backup reverted ? to ?, so it appears often.

I can see the google result:

"glitch" city laboratories has a "glitch".

this weird "glitch" cuases all symbols created with the alt key to turn into question marks.

but anyway… thanks for clearing this up.

"Leet (written as 31337, 1337, and l33t), or Leetspeak, is a written form of slang (technically an argot) used primarily on the Internet, but becoming increasingly common in many online video games,[1] which uses various combinations of alphanumerics to replace proper letters. The term itself is a degenerative form of the word "elite", and the language it describes resembles a highly specialized form of electronic shorthand. "
