While I was gone, I finally got my new computer. It's a Dell. (my old one was an HP) It has Windows Vista on it. And next Tuesday, DSL is gonna be installed in it.

So, my computer problems are fixed!

Does this mean that you're going to be on a lot more?

Let me be the next to congradulate you. Only a month or two ago I had to get a new RAM chip (monitor too, at that) for a similar reason. It had something like 128MB (couple GB or thousand is standard now) and it took a monotunous 30 min. to start up and about 10 min.to process a command. Was rather unusable actually. What's Vista like by the way?

It's all right, I'm still getting adjusted to it, though.

I've been able to do stuff with it I was NEVER able to do with my old one, such as:
DOWNLOAD LIMEWIRE.

Congrats on your new comp, LedZepplin! ^.~

Meanwhile, I got my first comp in 1994 (or maybe even late 93'), a Performa 575. It still runs today ^.~

Unfortunately, my (late) mother got me a HP Pavilion when I really wanted an iMac, back in 1998… it was complete shit (it had a hard drive crash in 2004, and I was using 95 until 2001, then 98SE until 2006 when I upgraded to 2000 as it wouldnt take XP with only 64 Meg ram and 433Mhz processor -.-), but it lasted me until 2006 when I got another HP with XP on it…

Around mid-2007, I ditched my HP and got another mac after 9 years of Windowsing, which I use today ^.~

My old computer was just a month away from being 7 years old. No, it wasn't very good at all…

I had an Windows 5 for ten years. Mostly used it to play computer games on. Got my Gateway about 3-4 years ago, been sailing right along since. Sadly I can only get dial-up where I live, which is a pain for WiFi, but oh well.

Congrats Led!

I had Dial-up too.It used to serve me very well, for yearsw at least. But when I wanted to download music, it was WAY too slow.

I had dialup from 1998~2002, then I had it again for most of early to mid-2006, then I got broadband, which I use now ^.^
