Agreed; I might get in, but it overvalues people selected by an arbitrary and flawed test.

Mensa exists so some self-proclaimed smart people could sit in a room and do logic puzzles. I've considered applying, but a Mensa membership would not be worth very much in practice. If I need to be a member of some group just to prove to people that I'm "smart", people already think I am smart because of what I actually do. Being in some club won't increase anyone's opinion of me.
