Well, while we are nitpicking the anime itself and not just the dub edits, I'd like to point out this:
When Ash battled Brock, he mentioned something about how as a Gym Leader he has to accept everyone's challenge.
When he got to Erika's gym, they wouldn't let him in.
INCONSISTENT MUCH?
