Ketsuban = MissingNo.

View the pic.

(It's a sprite file, not a pokemon)

Did you not look at the image? Ketsuban is Japanese for MissingNO. New reply'd when I clicked Post. Anyway, interesting. Question is, when does the game use that data? There hasn't been a Missing Number Error since Generation I…

Ketsuban is found in many places on the ROM, but they are all OW sprite file names. Now, if someone had a sprite mod AR code I could…

I don't think that's possible.
Hmmmm.
Is that a japanese rom?
Anyway, mayby if you copy the overworld data for it over another overworld data, mayby then you can see it?
Still, if you could disasemble the rom…

It's the US version.

No, it is possible, it's just an OW sprite mod.

I know!
Disasimble the rom, and rename an overworld sprite data ketsuban(2)
Then rename the original ketsuban sprite data to the renamed sprite's old name.
Then remove (2) from the sprite data file you originaly renammed. Then reasimble the rom.

OW sprite mod is MUCH easier.

Theoretically, it is possible. I bet that GAMEFREAK did a better job to not make it look visible.

The sprites look like this:

They are two frames long; the other frame is just this one flipped horizontally.

欠番 is simply the kanji for ?ketsuban.? It means ?missing number,? and is a cultural thing in Japan where some numbers like 4 or 9 are considered taboo because they are pronounced like the words for death. Sort of like how some English speakers consider 13 to be unlucky.

To find him simply use poke mod in diamond/pearl, get rid of them all, go against him in grass :XD:
