The Nintendo NSider Forums went kaput on the 24th, so that means all the Tweaking Glitch stuff is gone. So now we're back to square one with that.

Tweaking glitch………oh! it must be that glitch in D/P in which you ride really crazy on the bike to make an area appear blacked out! yeah that one is hard but interesting….I guess it is up to GCL now to find all the info on it.

Well, if there's anything that could bring me back to post again, this is it. I just found out today that NSider was gone. Gone. How could they do this to us? (By us, of course, I mean the members of NSider, not you guys.) I suppose it had been dying for a while after Andy killed the RPG board, but I just never expected it to end like this.

NSider was where I got my start; it was the first forum that I ever joined, and I was an active member for years. I had over 3000 posts there; and suddenly, with a singe anticlimactic administrative action, it's all gone. All my memories at NSider. All of my early history on the Internet. Everything. When the first two Glitch City sites died, it wasn't that big of a deal to me because most of my old posts, glitch documentaries, fanfics, etc. were on NSider, and even though I didn't go there often, I could still go there to look through my old stuff and remember. And most of my friends were there too, although a lot of them left after the RPG board died.

NOA_ANDY and the others have no idea how much they destroyed with such a seemingly careless action. All of the fanfics I loved to read, all of the comics and RPGs and four years' worth of some of the best and funniest discussion between gaming fans that I've ever had the honor to be a part of, all gone in an instant, replaced with a friendly-looking administrative message that gives no indication of the history that was unceremoniously bulldozed in its place.

And all for marketing. Don't think I don't know why NSider started to die two years ago; why the RPG board and Moot Trivia and Camp Hyrule and everything I loved about it vanished, one after another, to be replaced with more marketing propaganda. Now they apparently decided that the forums themselves were a waste of time, and that they should all be destroyed to make room for more marketing! Nintendo doesn't give a crap about their fans anymore! I used to think they were better than that.

But this only solidifies my hatred for big business. No matter how much they seem to care about fans and community and fun–which should be the point of gaming in the first place–it all comes down to making more money off of n00bs who can't tell a good game from the crud that makes up 90% of the Wii's current software titles. One of these days I'm going to go into the indie game-making business, and I'm going to make sure I never abuse my fans like that. Never. You can hold me to that statement.

But I suppose everything has to die sometime. NSider is dead, GCL is dying (as reluctant as you guys are to admit it, it's true) and one era of the internet gaming community is ending, at least in my eyes. Very soon I'll make my own website, where I distribute my own games, and I will be sure to NEVER do such a disservice to my forum community there, if it can be at all prevented.

Ace out.

It is not really dying. We still have loads of people posting, and there is always something else to document.
We can always kill some n00b who spam. We may be getting slow, but we aren't dying yet.

And what makes you say that this site is dead, exactly?

He might have been referring to the site itself.

Meh, I don't think so. I think old-school glitches might be in a bit of a lull right now b/c of Diamond and Pearl, but the site's not dying. I like the fact that there aren't 45049075834975348957 million eager n00bs flooding the site b/c is the "thing" right now. These smaller sights where everyone knows everyone are pretty cool, really.

Yes. XD

In fact, I wouldn't want this site to have 200,000 members. Not because we'd have to get quite a lot of moderators, but because, if the site had too many members, it'd become fail due to all the noobs.

We are definately done with RBYGSC (cries were finished recently) besides upgrading the documents, but now the main focus is Melchior X, right?.

Well, if we run out of things in R/B/Y/G/S/C, we can always move on to R/S/E/LG/FR, and then to D/P
