Well, I can't do it because I don't use emulators. (Actually, I downloaded a VBA once, but I couldn't find a Red/Blue/Yellow ROM to use. I did try your hacked ROM, though.) However, I can testify that I've had just about every known Glitch Pok?mon in existence (except Gameshark-only ones) on my Red/Blue/Yellow games, and the only time I've ever had a savefile deleted is when I saved after performing the ZZAZZ Glitch.
how do you do the ZZAZZ Glitch? and I also want to be in SCRAMM

you're kidding me. You must have just accidentally shut off the game when you were saving.

shutting off your game when you save corrupts the file, resulting in deletion.

I remember NOT doing that. I just had 10-15 Missingno. and 'M, and then I saved, and after a month when I went to battle, it was GONE.

many real-life things can cause a game to be lost.

Well guys 'n girls… this could be it.

Recently, I downloaded PichuUmbreon's file, and started playing around with it.

I was just looking through the saveram using VBA's built in memory viewer, resetting the game over and over, and observing the results. I did notice a pattern, at certain points during the loading screens the saveram would turn into 00 39, 00 39 over and over. This is very suspicious, because a "normal" save file doesn't seem to do this when the game is booting up. Furthermore, the same 00 39 pattern seems to occur whenever I run into Missingno.

But then something happened that completely took my attention away from that…

THIS SAVE FILE IS DESTROYED!

I immediately saved a copy of the file, which I'm uploading here.

I tried to replicate the problem with a fresh copy of PU's file. I managed to get it to happen once more just by resetting the game over and over each time it got to the title screen……… but…. I can't get it to happen anymore. It just wouldn't corrupt, no matter how much I reset it (remember, this is on an emulator, so power surges aren't going to affect the save ram).

I'm at a loss for what's happening here. I'm hoping an expert can figure something out by checking this file.

Yeah, I can see the strange sequence of 00 39 in the savefile… there's a lot of it. Maybe we're wrong about our hypothesis…
