A good example of this would be the TM trainer effect, it makes more than 6 pokemon in your team.

Eh? I've done TM TRAINER before, but I didn't get more than six Pokemon on my team at any time. Does it have to be a TM TRAINER caused by something other than Cooltrainer?

I think "Wild" in D/P is the placeholder for a Pok?mon in a double battle when one trainer is all out of Pok?mon. That's the only place I ever see "But there was no target…"

Well I know in the Japanese D/P you could get it by having only two Pokemon on your team and having one be knocked out.

I've seen "Wild" in, well, the wild, before.

Let's just say, if I was a programmer for a Pok?mon game, I'd at least put something in slot 00. Not an actual Pok?mon, but just something to be a placeholder. To prevent glitches. Either there is no way to define slot 00, or the programmers still haven't realized the things that can happen when a slot isn't defined.

Slot 00 was defined in the GBA series, you know.

#000, wheras it was not defined in D/P, and will crash the game trying to show it's PokeDEX entry.

What about that glitch Pokemon you get if you walk into the grass with no Pokemon and encounter something? Would that be a zero-slot placeholder too? I know it's not the same thing as M since he act nothing alike…
