Hmm, I've never posted my desktop here before. Probably because it's really boring.

See what I mean?

Check these out. System is Ubuntu Linux 9.04, running on an Acer Timeline 5810T laptop with 3 GB of RAM.

[attachment=1]
My desktop. It is the intersection of Babcock Road and Cielo Vista Road (not like you'll know what that means). I nabbed it off of Google Maps, and if you look closely you'll see some Google watermarks floating around. The Abwayaxdisk II is a 320GB portable hard disk that holds most of my crap. The XML files named Melchior are actually exported from Melchiorbot, which I then imported into the wiki (I haven't gotten to deleting them yet for some reason). Bluefish is a nice editor (comparable to Notepad++ on Windows) that I use for all my programming. The SFTP thing at the bottom is actually a link to my VPS. Nautilus (the GNOME file manager) doubles as an (S)FTP client (and does so much better than Windows Explorer, IMHO). Then again, GNOME has support for mounting (S)FTP servers as virtual filesystems (through a component called gvfs) so that means most programs written for GNOME (including Bluefish) can use the virtual drives.

This thread in Firefox, with all the extensions I installed.

[attachment=3]
This thread in Opera, which is my favorite browser. Notice that I have bus scheduling information in the left panel. Can you do that with Firefox? There's probably an extension for it somewhere.

[attachment=4]
This thread in Chrome, which I use the least because it is a pre-release version. For a pre-release, though, it is somewhat stable.

I'm quite partial to Safari, but Safari will not run on Linux (not even with Wine, it seems) so I can't use it here.

Oh and I also have Vista on here, but the desktop on that is not interesting because I never use Vista (save for testing shit in IE). For those who care, though, it's the Classic Windows look. My main browsers on that platform (aside from IE, which I use for testing) are Chrome and SeaMonkey.

KDE FTW :P
My Kubuntu 9.10 (beta)

With more effects than my computer can take! Nah, it is relatively fast, obviously it should be faster. Covered in Programs I hardly use because it looks nice! Basic KDE 4.3 background

Wobbly Windows FTW. The most pointless effects are always the most fun!

I found that quite funny. I'll get my PC's screenshot soon when I'm  not tempted to throw Forbidden Siren 2 across the room, with the guide. ¬¬

Here's my PC's desktop and the "squares" are meant to be saying 武 (Mutou Yami), but the name appears fine on my forums, just my message it doesn't and the file I've been trying to send for days, is finally being send. Damn you MSN!

For some who have heard of the Siren games, I am a Siren Series fan, and if other's need help on Blood Curse, let me know I've finally figured out the way to get Archive File #45, but yeah, my desktop's a mess. Don't ask why.

My desktop… is the intersection of Babcock Road and Cielo Vista Road (not like you'll know what that means).

I know what that means: you live in or near San Antonio, right?  Well, my dad's from Galveston.

sATC is my "ideal" project that I've been working on to hack and tinker with the Sprint AIRAVE femtocell. I've got a LOT of research into both the hardware and software that's making headwind and lots of progress. Even without the hardware in my posession.

So far…
sATC Project Status: 5 out of 100% - need to buy an AIRAVE, damnit! (5% for the initial research made.)

Also - that owl icon in my System Tray is fun to play with when connected to the school's network. I managed to get the teacher console for Faronics Insight to work on my laptop - meaning I can now take over a computer lab (or several) at school. No passwords, NOTHING. There's ZERO security on Insight. Why? They say adding security makes it hard for teachers to use.

Le fail.

Here's my new latop's new desktop. Looks empty, I know. It won't when I get my musc back. Don't ask why the battery life box appeared. I moved my mouse it moved to the battery. I hate mouses.
