Don't tell me they kept the "The BROCK wants to battle!" text.

Just imagine:
The FAULKNER wants to battle!

Ugh.

Ah, who cares?

BTW, please check out my TM55 topic.

Back on topic:
Anyone got a video of a fight with the REAL Prof. Oak with Gameshark?

Oh, all right.

Can you post photos of a Pokemon's summary page featuring Bird-type?

I have no way to do that.

Really? Why?

I still would like to see a video of a battle with R/B/Y Oak.

Really? Why?

Because Pokemon types aren't kept in RAM as in G/R/B/Y. In theory, it might be possible to hack something for Ditto/Porygon/Porygon2, but it wouldn't be visible.

The same seems to be true for moves, but text IS kept in RAM.

A Pokemon's type is loaded into RAM in GSC; it would be a simple Gameshark code to make it appear as Bird.

Alright the text code for a Pokemon's first type is:
91??27d1

Any other weird types, besides that? Surprised Bird stayed as a TYPE in GSC.

Only ones I know of besides Bird are found in the glitchy Hall of Fame in R/B. And some glitch Pokemon have them as types…Then again, they ARE glitches…

I wonder if Bird was supposed to be used as the primary type for Pok?mon like Pidgey, etc. instead of normal, i.e. making Pidgey Bird/Flying instead of Normal/Flying >.>

Actually, I think it WAS originally the Flying-type. But they changed it because not all flying Pokemon are Birds.

No doubt about that, but the fact that they kept it as a TYPE in GSC is something else.

Yeah, but they kept Oak, too.
