Haha, I doubt the admins would let me post the link. It's harmless. (Avast site is, www.avast.com)

s**t! I can't download this! Its 30.06 MB. I'm not even sure that internet explorer will allow me to because professional sites don't seem to allow download resumes.

oh and Another thing that annoys me is when I download a program only to have the setup download installation materials and the download stop in mid process.

Holy s**t! I think I just found the svchost.exe file. I was looking for something on the start menu in the programs section and happened to find a little thing on the menu that said svchost.exe. I right clicked on it and deleted it. My computer feels some what faster now. I'll let you know if it lasts later or not.
O_O.
Also, get malwarebyte antimalware. It's a good and small antimalware.

My computer's starting to heal its wounds. The viruses are still causing problems but my computer is faster. The only problem is the new anti virus I bought and installed says files are missing and I'm not quite sure why. I restarted like the setup told me to. I had to uninstall spybot search and destroy for the setup to progress. sadly I fear that I now have no way of ever reenabling task manager ever again.

My new antivirus is McAfee antivirus 2009. My mom bought it from Wal-Mart for me.

Don't fear. Again, download super anti spyware and scan with it, and quarentine everything it finds(delete is bad in case of false positives)

Not really, my old 98 computer, had loads and loads, of torjans, in the virus vault, and the more they stayed, they still continued to return because some of them were backdoors, that had opened a backdoor for others to enter, and really damage the system. I had to delete files, that were badly infected with viruses. The thing is, Fivex, some viruses, you think may seem not too harmful, but quarantining them, won't rid of the backdoors, they open. I've had a lot of heavy virus attacks over the years, but I was lucky not to get hit by the MSBlast Virus, back then when XP was still new-ish. Best to find the files that seem to cause the problems, meaning some of the viruses you downloaded Glisp, by an infected torrent, (it's why I never download torrents), can carry viruses/worms that can cause trouble. Now, I'm not saying you are infected with this worm, I'm only saying, say if you downloaded a torrent you thought was safe, but was carrying Conficker.B (which I'm sure the thing I read about it, acts like a backdoor, or it was Conficker.A), that opens a backdoor, for the other part of the virus/worm to enter the system. It would seem Glisp, that some of these worms, are backdoor worms/viruses, as I had a lot of backdoor viruses on my computer before, and they infected my PC's memory triggering the fatal blue screens of death. So, it would be best to remove files, (not system files), files that aren't important, since when my mother downloaded games, I would always get a virus from game file, or sometimes they would infect the volume system.

Don;t allways go by the past.
Besides, asimple restart with them in quarentine, will prevent the backdoor from opening.
As they CANNOT run in quarentine, the backdoor will not open.
A backdoor can only be open for as long as the file that openned it is open

There are still backdoor worms, running around and trojans. The PC in my bedroom has had backdoor attacks. My 98 went into system failure, and I couldn't revive it no matter what. I know some viruses, attack the memory, and it's what's happened to me. There are tools out there to get rid of the backdoors, but I'm unsure what they are called, since now there is software to remove these backdoors, weren't available to me when I needed it to keep my computer alive, even after 9 years it did well, but the viruses were too much. (The old AVG the 98 would handle found over 500 trojans, and a lot of backdoor trojans.) I can't remember if they were called RootKits, or there are viruses/worms, as RootKits.

This dopes it! As soon as I get the cash, I'm buying a computer that runs in Linux!  >:(
But for now I'll make do with what I have. I've told you guys already, my internet connection is terrible so downloading antivirus software won't help unless I get a better connection.

What about the Antivirus I got just recently? Is it any good?

You don't need to pay anything to use Linux, just install it on your current PC.

Linux FTW, I'm a Linux user myself. Yeah you don't pay anything for Linux, however, if you have never used anything else besides Windows, then most
likely you will be really confused, so if you
go forth with your decision, I reccomend:

Ubuntu which can be downloded at
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download

Now that means that it will wipe your files off the harddrive, but I know three ways that you can save your files since you stated that there were very important files on your system:

1. Buy an external hardrive to put all your files in.
2.Use the Wubi installer, which installs it in another
partition(if you have enough memory, cpu, and ram, which shouldn't be a probelm because ubuntu doesn't take much memory at all.)
3. Install Ubuntu in the external hardrive

From what I understand, McAffy is very good Anti-Virus
software, you might just not know how to use it, but don't
take my word for it.

So Good luck and have a nice day :)

Wubi doesn't make a new partition.

I thought it did…

You all fail at AV choices(except spybot… it's a good one, but not the best.). All the ones you guys think are good are bad. Also, that one file was zlob. Anyway, these are the two best AVs.
Avira personal(proof will be given)
Norton.(Again, proof WILL be provided.)

Edit:That antivirus 2009 thing will reinstall it's self in time. It will…
Exspecially if you use system restore.

Hate to jump in at the end, but…
I would never trust a retail Symantec product (ie anything like "Norton") on any computer on my network.
If you had ways to obtain it, the corporate Symantec Endpoint Protection is awesome security and client management software.

I have some good news and some bad news:

The good news is my virus problem is wiped out. (for the moment anyways.)

The bad news is that I'm terrified to restart my computer because I'm afraid that the viruses will all come back. As a result I've been putting it on hibernate. Perhaps I should restart or at least attempt to just to see what happens.

McAffee didn't renable or regedit. Plusit wants me to buy more shit to fully remove the viruses. I'm not purchasing it for two reasons:
1. I'm not going to spend money on something that I should be able to get for free due to urgency.
2. My internet connection sucks so if I purchase a  download chances are that the download will never finish and  get stuck mid process unable to restart. And I'll get ripped off.

WMV files won't save anymore. I can play them, I just can't make new ones. My sound drivers aren't running off the sound card anymore it seems and are just running off of whatever the other thing is.
Sound still plays but doesn't act like it used to.

Ouch, by sounds of things the viruses might of damaged the volume area, of the system. I used to get the same trojan virus, on my 98/XP, in the volume area. Restarting, I don't think will bring back the viruses, after all my laptop and PC (when it comes back from being repaired yet again), they are to restart to stop system failure. You need to have automatic restart on system failure, or the PC will just enter system failure and won't work again. System Restore, then again could help you go back to long before it all began or it'll bring 'em back. McAFee, aren't all that good, but it's good to know the problems are gone for now.
