Actually my problems are nullified until the computer shuts down. However I tried to restart and all it does is go back to the desktop which refuses to display icons even though they exist and I can access the desktop folder. Shutting down the computer or logging off also will not activate. Hibernation activates just fine though.

I did find this one program called regcure which allows me to go in and remove start up items. This means that I can delete all of the pesky .EXE files created at start up by the virus. Unfortunately there are so fucking many that it will take a while. Reg cure needs to be bought in order to fix my registry errors and i can't do that at this current time.

As I said before WMV files play but refuse to save on my computer if I try make them in a video producing program like windows movie maker.

It seems the clean up has damaged and corrupted several features. I will say that the volume problem is most likely from a virus my computer was infected with before this one infected me. Months before to be exact.

At least my computer is fast for the time being but I can't make any new youtube videos until I fix the WMV problem. Oh well in the meantime I could start uploading videos I never uploaded but intended to.

I tried that Regcure, and it fucking sucks. I have to buy the full version just to get rid of the errors. I bet if it was free completely, I'd be able to get System Restore back, but they want me to fork out money just to get rid of hidden problems. What a rip off.

I'm using it just to get rid of the pesky .EXE virus files that activate on my computer start up. Oh and something nice to say is that Mozilla Firefox works again. I reinstalled it.

I think I just figured out why WMVs won't save. I think while cleaning up disk space a while ago I accidentally deleted files in a folder that were vital to keep it operating properly.

Accidents do happen. Firefox, is great, it's all I ever use. I think perhaps, checking the file(s), before deleteing 'em, eh?

Have any suggestions on WMV saving Filters.

Oh How do I manually add video codecs? I have this one emulator that has its own special video codec and I can't figure out where it goes.

Anything to do with Windows Media Player, I have no idea. I only have an MSN Messenger plug-in, so others can see what songs I'm listening to. I do have a video codec, that allows me to watch films, on WMP.

So you're saying that you have no idea of where a specific directory for video codecs goes? Oh well thank you for your time. Perhaps someone else here knows such as Abwayax.

*Head butts the desk* Ugh, if I was 15, again I'd know what to do, but I don't remember.

Its alright I can wait for somebody else. Hopefully they have the answer. Maybe I should start a new thread on this subject.

Well, your problem is a computer-related, so it shouldn't hurt really.
