Paradoxes

I love paradoxes. Come up with your own paradoxes or put in ones that other people have made here. (Should this be in the Forum Games section? <_<)

Mine:
Physically and whole-bodily colliding with yourself. (Already widely known)
Being perfectly rested after a very bad night.
Imploding explosions!

Others
There is a hotel with infinitely many rooms, but is full, but you can still put people in it.
Black holes are infinitely small with infinite density.
0.999…(going 9 on infinitely) is actually equal to 1, but many people do not believe this. (I don't get that one)
What would happen if an unstoppable force hits an immovable object?
Why is the night sky black if there is an infinity of stars?
If all truths are knowable, then all truths must in fact be known.
And the Grandfather Paradox at the bottom of my sig.

0.999…(going 9 on infinitely) is actually equal to 1, but many people do not believe this. (I don't get that one)

say x = 0.999?
therefore 10x = 9.999?
therefore 10x − x = 9.999? − 0.999? = 9
therefore 0.999? = 1

alternately 1 ? 3 = 0.333?, 2 ? 3 = 0.666?, 3 ? 3 = 0.999? = 1

Now to spoil everyone?s fun

Black holes are infinitely small with infinite density.

Not a paradox; size and density of an object are unrelated, and in a black hole neither is infinite.

Why is the night sky black if there is an infinity of stars?

There is not an infinite number of stars in the observable universe

If all truths are knowable, then all truths must in fact be known.

Faulty logic

And the Grandfather Paradox at the bottom of my sig.

Time travel is impossible.

as stated before 0.999… is not a paradox, it's just a different way of representing the number one. I don't get why this is so hard to grasp; we have many ways of representing a quarter: 0.25, 1/4, 2/8, George Washington's head on a silver-colored coin…

What would happen if an unstoppable force hits an immovable object?

If an immovable object exists, then there is no such thing as an unstoppable force; and if an unstoppable force exists, then there is no such thing as an immovable object.

Coming into contact with your future self.

Coming into contact with your future self.

Time travel is impossible.

But Quantum Physics says otherwise.

Not really a paradox since it's logical if you think about it.

What's a paradox?

The answer to this question has to be true, or false!
Is the answer to this question false?

Time travel is impossible.

But Quantum Physics says otherwise.

I?ll clarify: time travel to the past is impossible.

Well many of you have just proved the paradoxes I posted wrong. Mind you they were not mine  :D so I take no insult of it.
Time travel is impossible, but these paradoxes involving time travel are just to say if it were to happen, use some imagi-NAAAtion!
Also another one on the list that I find rather interesting…
Sentence Paradox: This sentence is false.
How can you say that, then you make the person wonder what the question was, thus confusing them. I view it as a self-contradiction of the sentence (Don't explain to me that self contradicting statements are paradoxes, because I know… obviously >_>)

A Paradox…Hmmm…

How about we remove the Law of Impenetrability?
Place two objects on the same place..

There's your Paradox…

That is close to saying "Colliding with yourself".

Is the answer to this question false?

That's a context question.

I made a perpetual motion machine.

Not a paradox.

A Paradox…Hmmm…

There's your Paradox…

But some atoms at any given time are in many places at once.

That is close to saying "Colliding with yourself".

Also possible, just very unlikely. (Quantum Physics is awesome :P)
