Mkay well I just read someone in here saying the grass along side of Route 1 will crash your game, and some people think it contains pikablu or whatever. It indeed does crash your game depending on how you enter it. If you go to the very top of the route with walk through walls on the gameshark, and walk along side the wall on the right at the very bottom edge of town, and go down into the route area, the grass will look like trees now. Don't walk any further to the right of the screen then the town goes to, and don't step on the far left tree (Which is actually the grass but the game is glitched so you knowww). Anyway, so walk in the trees, and you'll encounter a pokemon. Guess what? It's just like any other pokemon on route 1. No big deal. Mythbusted. (Sorry to re-bust it, but I had to because your conclusion was wrong >_<)

I wonder if anyone would actually try to find ditto trick or something similar in G/S/C?

Myth: "There's some kind of awesome secret that the developers didn't want you to find in the grass beyond the fence beside Route 1."

The grass is actually reachable with the walk through walls cheat in Pokemon blue. The trick is to walk up to the upper limit of the route 1 map, and then cross the grass to the right. The game won't crash; instead the map will wrap around, and it will look as if you come out the left side of route 1. However, there will be no sprites, teleportation points, and some areas will appear glitched. Also, there are no legendaries or anything in the grass, just regular pokemon you would expect from the area.
Here's a link to the video file I made:  http://kms.podzone.net/grass.rar ;
Play it back using VBA. You can stop the playback at anytime, and explore the spriteless map yourself.  Enjoy  ;)

So, the null data is just a single strip? Hmm… wonder why it is only one straight line.

I have heard, I believe from somewhere on the Internet, that there is a car located on the ground to the right of the S.S. Anne that can get you a Mew….  Apparantly, reaching this car involves acquiring the Surf HM before the S.S. Anne departs, then using surf to get to the car where the Mew will supposedly await you.  I am fairly sure this is fake, as most of the sources I have read recently make no note of this could-be outstanding glitch, although I would be interested to know if there is any truth in this myth.

There's a tiny bit of truth.  If someone trades you a pokemon with cut, you can bypass the S.S. Anne and get surf before it leaves (there's also a glitch that let's you do this).  If you surf to the right, there is a truck, but no Mew.

Slight bumpage, sorry, but I haven't seen this up yet.

Every fourth grader in my class (How old I was when Pokemon came out.) said that if you push and hold the A button at the right time during a capture, that it would make any pokeball act like a higher quality ball. I've been doing it out of habit ever since…

Probably not true, so go ahead and debunk it.

Better way is just to do the surfing glitch.
Also something maybe to add (maybe it's already been said):
What about with those PkGod sites saying to open up the game and flip the chip/program/whatever? They claim they won't work without you doing that, but that obviously would just break the game. Or more like make it read an empty cartridge.

I heard somewhere that if you press start or select in one of the games, you get invicible for select, and opponent faints for start.

Now, I personally know that is false (Or gamesharked), but I need proof from the experts to prove it to my brother.
