I suggest that thread starters should have the ability to remove posts from users on certain topics, for example, say that someone goes against the rules in a game you made, you can remove their posts.

If it's really that much of a big deal, you could just ask the mods nicely.

I feel it's a waste of the mod's time. A mod should be consulted for the REAL problems (i.e., forum rule breaking, bannable actions, etc.)

Well, in the example of Forum Games you mentioned, I'm fairly certain one of the rules of Forum Games is to follow the rules of each individual game. And for the record, I'm pretty sure ordinary mods don't have the power to ban people anyway.

That would require a software modification. There might be one out there.

Actually, SMF 2.0 gives these permission sets:

Move their own topics
Modify replies to own topics
Delete replies to own topics

You can't yet. We have to set/activate them after we choose to or not.

Wow, didn't notice that.

As for where/when this will be enabled, this will have to be discussed amongst staff. However, my guess is that we could enable it in forum games and RPs. Giving the OP power over actual conversations would be undesirable, in my view.

And in Debate Wars.  The debate's moderator should be able to moderate, not just watch.

Why sure let's just give people the ability to silently delete posts they disagree with.
