I am doing a glitch video about those trainer with the ZZAZZ (It may be ready soon) and in one of the glitch fight with HEX F8 was very weird. For a simple summary I was fighting HEX F8 at level 0 and when I killed him with my ZZAZZ Bulbausaur (Level 153 with explosion). Many pokemon appeared in my party and has gain abnormal xp & level (Like the Yellow TRAINERPOKE3 glitch does)

I am brand new here, but I have been reading up on pokemon glitches since I found this site. Anywho, I have a question about the ZZAZZ glitch. I attempted to do it on my Pokemon Blue game. I successfully did it using my Dragonite and the special stat of 255. It worked the way it was supposed to, changing my name and everything else. But, I fought a trainer named (glitch block) 14S (glitch block). After the battle, I went into my "Pokemon" in the menu, to which it froze on a blank white screen, and the music was still playing. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Has anyone ever fought this trainer? I can get a video if needed, but I'm not sure if it will work the same way. Thank you all in advance  :)

You don't check your party after super glitch/ZZAZZ. The game simply can't show a party without an end marker.

Anyways, here's a discovery. I don't know if anyone's discovered this.

After flying away from the trainer in Route 24 and fighting another, I encountered a Ditto, let it transform into my Kadabra with 252 Special, and then fled the battle. I then teleported back to Cerulean City. Two different death trainers (and two different glitches) can be triggered without needing to encounter another Ditto.

1. Just proceed to Route 24. A milder version of ZZAZZ occurs.

2. View the Fly screen (don't have to actually fly away) then walk into Route 24. A more game-breaking version of ZZAZZ occurs.

This is not the end! I tried several other stats, and found that using special 248 and viewing the Fly screen triggers the same glitch as using special 252 and NOT viewing the Fly screen.

I've found a fail-proof way to encounter the ZZAZZ trainer with 251 Special stat without crashing or locking up the game!
You'll need to modify memory to do this though.

Requirements:
1. You must have a Pokemon with Teleport and Cut in your party.
2. You must have a Pokemon with 251 Special in your party.
3. Take all strong Pokemon out of the box (for battling the Death Trainer), as all of them inside the box will be overwritten.
4. You must have a Pokeball in your inventory. (to escape from the initial encounter)
5. You must have an Escape Rope in your inventory.

The steps are as follows:
0. Heal at the Pewter City Pokemon Center to set the Teleport destination.
1. Change the byte 3906 in the ROM from AF to 9F.
2. Read any sign / talk to any people to overwrite the RAM values from $DFFF to $D5XX (in backward order) with the 8-word sequence 22 C0 03 B7 1C F8 19 C0. Overwriting less will make this trick not working, while more will crash the game.
DON'T SAVE THE GAME FROM NOW ON.
2a. How to check if the overwriting is enough? Just walk in front of some trainers (preferably on Nugget Bridge). Since the trainer encounter flag for those trainers are reset, they'll fight you again.
3. Reset the 3906 byte to AF, as you won't want your game crash.
4. Teleport to Pewter City. Fly won't work as you'll likely be forced to battle a hooked Tentacool instead.
5. Walk (you can't get off the invisible "bike" you're riding, even though you're not) to Mt. Moon via Route 3. You may be forced to battle some trainers on the way.
6. Stand just outside the line of sight of the only long-range Rocket Grunt on B1F, and press down.
7. Use Escape Rope just before the "!" pops up. You'll be warped back to Pewter City.
8. Fight a trainer (they are all available now) to retrieve the Start menu.
9. Go to Route 15 on foot. It's a tedious process, but you just can't fly.
10. Battle a Ditto and make it transform to your 251 Special Pokemon. Run away after that.
11. Walk back to Mt. Moon B1F. You'll encounter the Death Trainer.
12. Throw a Pokeball to exit the battle. The glitched Trade Center screen will NOT pop up.
13. Feel free to explore the glitch effects, since some bytes are now re-overwritten!

A few remarks:
1. Other long-range trainers may work, but the commonly-used Route 24, Route 6 and Route 8 ones won't work.
2. Your PC box will become a mess after Step 2. Attempting to read any stat or withdraw them will lock up the game.
3. This trick is basically useless as using the normal trial-and-error process on 251-special Death Trainer may be faster. This trick is 100% fail-proof though. (5 out of 5 success for me)
4. I may upload a video of this when I have free time.
5. That hooked Tentacool is creepy.
6. Today is April 1st.
7. This trick may actually work.

Does anyone know how to item underflow glitch with "ZZAZZ" because I can't get it to work. Can anyone help me? (I want to know specifically about ZZAZZ, not other item glitches like item underflow, Super Glitch, JACRED etc.)

It actually isn't an item underflow glitch, and it's rather an item overflow glitch (because your number of items is replaced with item 1's ID). It's more complicated, and I don't think it's worth it outside of speedruns. Super Glitch and item underflow (if you have spare fossils/haven't gave the gatekeepers a drink) are better alternatives, but it's always interesting to know how it works anyway, so here's how to do it in Yellow (it probably works the same in Red/Blue, but you may have to use a different trainer class/roster):

You need to perform the ZZAZZ glitch to make all FF up to the items terminator disappear. If you're on the right tracks, the game will freeze when you try to open your Pokémon menu because it can't find a terminator.

Working values are one Pokémon (01 xx FF), three Pokémon (03 xx yy zz FF), four Pokémon (04 ww xx yy zz FF) and six Pokémon (06 uu vv ww xx yy zz FF). (the FFs will get replaced with 99) As you play the game more, it may become harder or impossible to get the glitch to work without having to alter the memory to remove all the FFs. (You can force it to work by opening a memory viewer at D163 and then removing every FF you see until you get to the item addresses starting at D31C)

This glitch isn't user friendly. If part of your Pokemon's stats uses an FF byte and the byte is not replaced with 99 (dec:153) by the ZZAZZ glitch, then that may cause the glitch not to work. Also, even when you don't have a full party, the game may store information about Pokémon you previously stored in the box, including FF values. (sorry about these 'may's, I'm not very experienced with the glitch) You may have to start a new game to get the glitch to work.

If you happen to have a Q (FF) as the third or sixth Pokémon, you won't be able to get the glitch to work.

Some glitch trainers (not counting Jacred rosters) will not corrupt the party. These are working Pokémon Yellow classes and rosters (note: I didn't list all, only the easiest.

*F8 (special=248), roster 7 (no Growls)
*F9 (special=249), roster 7 (no Growls)
*FA (special=250), roster 7 (no Growls)
*FB (special=251), roster 5 (Growl*2)
*FC (special=252), roster 7 (no Growls)
*FD (special=253), roster 7 (no Growls)
*FE (special=254), roster 7 (no Growls)
*FF (special=255), roster 7 (no Growls)

After you've encountered the glitch Trainer, throw the Poké Ball to end the battle. Go to a Pokémon Center and deposit your first Pokémon. This will terminate the Pokémon list properly and if there were no FFs until your item list's CANCEL, your item bytes will shift! (e.g. if item 1 was TM50; hex:FA you will get 250 or FA items) . For this reason, if you want to beat the game quickly, don't have an item with an index number <24 (dec: 36); Protein in your first position (this number was chosen because item 36's quantity is D364; the exit warp destination. If you Fly to Pallet Town and go to your house, you can force this value to be 00 (256) and then toss 138 of them to get to the Hall of Fame (hex: 76) when you exit) and don't have valuable items if you don't want to lose them. The number of items you have apparently doesn't matter, but I only tested it with 1-6 items.

The Pokémon Center map may mess up and get you stuck when you try to exit. Withdrawing a Pokémon after you deposited your first one can fix this, for some reason.

What does Old man Glitch do with a ZZAZZ name?

What does Old man Glitch do with a ZZAZZ name?

It works as expected. Every letter of your name except the 3rd/6th/9th letter is replaced by $99, so you'll encounter Pokémon at level 153, and/or Bulbasaur.

Remember that your name works like this, where species have a corresponding level before it:

2nd letter: First level
3rd letter: First species
4th letter: Second level
5th letter: Second species
6th letter: Third level
7th letter: Third species
8th letter: Fourth level
9th letter: Fourth species
10th letter: Fifth level
11th letter: Fifth species

This glitch only happens I think the Spanish version … if you have not seen already on the topic , since I'm new XD .

Pokémon with the Glitch COOLTRAINER ZZAZZ

We know that is what a COLLTRAINER Pokémon ( a Pokémon without attacks). Well, the glitch ZZAZZ you can get a Pokémon with COOLTRAINER follows :

1 - Do the Glitch ZZAZZ .
2 - Escape the glitch trainer.
3 - Go to a pokemon center and removes all the Pokémon you have on your computer in this order : 2nd , 5th , 3rd , 6th . Then take the first pokémon you have in the PC case . And leaves only the first Pokmn you had to do the glitch and pokemon box .
4 - Now go to the "Leave Pkmn " data from the first Pokémon and salt option , now reappears. If you a screen so that has left you well displayed.

5 - Now you'll be a Pokémon that had the last 2 letters of the last Pokémon in the team had to fight Glitch Trainer. That's the Pokémon COOLTRAINER .
My last Pokémon was a Rhydon .

I hope you have done well , if you froze the game because you did it wrong or something else , do not delete the game ( or at least from emulator ) .

If you want a normal save, save before you do the glitch and when you've done it restart to your last save.
From what I know,  it's a mass corruption glitch, and you're basically effed if you save after doing it.
I once did this and accidentally saved afterwards.
I lost everything in my save.
Rip.

Yeah the game writes the hex value 99 in many locations which is why you end up with level 153 bulbasaurs that know explosion (both the pokemon, move and level are tied to hex 99). The save is destroyed because the name is invalid (missing an end marker at the correct location)

Then again, I've successfully saved under Super Glitch, so there is a possibility your save will live, but I doubt it will.

And able to load the save file or just been able to save? (Sometimes Yes/No boxes can become glitched)

TheZZAZZGlitch once did a video and showed a way to use super glitch to change your name to a valid blank one allowing you to save, maybe you did something similar?

Saving is possible if you talk to a Pokémon Center nurse to have a Yes/No dialog box again instead of an invalid (and crashing) one.
However you are mostly certain of not being able to load your save if you name got corrupted over 7 characters.

Sometimes you will still be able to load though (if you're lucky enough) with a "too long" name, but that's far beyond unlikely.
