I found a beta phrase in my Red rom. I activated Super Glitch, I think maybe with a ZZAZZ trainer, and escaped the battle without the game freezing. So I got in a wild Pokemon battle with a Raticate. My first Pokemon fainted and when it asked me if I wanted to switch Pokemon, instead of getting yes or no I got north or west. I haven't found that phrase anywhere else in that game.

Is that a real picture?(north west thing) It looks sorta re-done. no offense

It's real. I can't re-do those images real good, anyway.

Curious About an Itemfinder Glitch

Hola.  I'm new to pokemon glitches.  I just used the Mew trick (awesome stuff) and I'm on my way to using the Ditto trick.  But I have a question about a glitch I used a few years ago that I had heard from a friend (I used this glitch on Pokemon Blue.)

So, this is what I remember: I had to do certain procedures before surfing on the edge of Cinnabar Island (Maybe I used the Old Man trick? I don't remember.) Anyway, my friend told me that while surfing I would find a Mewtwo (keep in mind that I wasn't yet at Indigo Plataeu, let alone the Unknown Dungeon.) I'm pretty sure I didn't catch it.  My friend told me that if I saved the game after seeing/catching it, that my game would be erased.  Well, I did save my game, and I turned it on later to find that it was not erased at all.  Everything seemed to be working normal.  However, there was something wrong with my Itemfinder.  When I went to deposit it on my PC, it said "Itemfinder was stored on PC" but it did not vanish from my Items.  There was now another copy of Itemfinder in my PC.  I had two Itemfinders!  What if I went to withdraw Itemfinder from my PC?  I had three Itemfinders, one in my PC and 2 in my Items! The only glitch that I had done up to this point was the glitch my friend told me about, so I figure this must have caused the weird Itemfinder stuff. It doesn't really hurt anything that I have three Itemfinders, I'm just curious what happened.

Thanks.

Sounds like you encountered a MissingNO. and/or M.

BTW, here is the PokeDEX entry for MissingNO. in Diamond/Pearl:

I got this off YouTUBE, no idea how the uploader managed to safely catch a MissingNO.

It looks like Pokemon Snap. I read somewhere that if you put MissingNo. in Stadium 2 and view his stats, he will permanently become a Ditto (I read that at TRS if that makes any difference).

Haha, yes, Pokemon Snap, my first N64 game. Everyone bashes it now, but it was pretty fun.

Weird, sure looks like there's a Pokemon in that picture to me :P

I found the casino game but wasn't the first. There's actually more to it that I didn't know (thx Tauwasser); apparently it's a fairly complete version of Memory sans sound effects, winning coins, and being able to exit. I tried posting a new video but Youtube hates my connection. :(

Strangely, the game doesn't agree with that.

I dont know how, but there's this glitch in Red/Blue that lets me pick the Yellow Intro Screen after some random Missingno./'M glitch fun. (Song is still Red/Blue)

A Game Boy game can produce a Game Boy Color screen how again?

You can't get the yellow intro in R/B, because the video isn't even in the game's coding.

And neither is the music (it was placed over the original intro).

Is it possible that in the beta version of R/B, the TM's past 50 used to be HM's? I found this in my TMTrainer-infested bag… I also found a TM05 once that contained Flash in there, but I'm assuming that was the game just retrieving random data.

TM 51-55 were originally HMs, but in name only.  The attacks TM 51-55 were always glitch moves.
