^ No
< Linux is an operating system, like Windows or Mac. However, Linux is free and "open source", meaning that you can modify it as you wish, unlike many commercial operating systems. It is, in general, impervious to viruses because most viruses were designed for the crap that is Windows. Furthermore, there are different types of Linux (distributions, or distros for short) for different types of users; for instance, I run Ubuntu, which is easy to use for new users, and my father runs Gentoo, which relies more on the command line. Its only drawback is low compatibility with many programs designed for Windows; however, the WINE Windows emulator does allow many things to be run on Linux.
V Now go install Linux

^ I can't
= I have a slim PS2, and don't want to wreck it by attempting to solder an IDE connecter onto the headers; furthermore, when I swap from disc 2 of PS2 Linux back to disc 1, it freezes (using ESR btw)
V Halp?
