Do they block their own website?

No. They do block NFL sites, too.

Devil's advocate: Why would you need to look at NFL sites at school?

You know, they should just point the camera so that it looks arround the TV.

Still pretty useless, as most of the field of view would be taken up by the wall.

Paradox: If Pinnochio said, "My nose is about to grow longer," what would happen?

Fantasy football, obviously.

Fivex, I think it's an exit sign.

I could be wrong, though.

Fantasy football, obviously.

Yeah, that''s probably what I'd do at school.

Recited completely from memory. I feel so proud!

There are some occasions where Proxys are blocked. In fact a good majority of proxys on the web were blocked at my high school. There was one site that was blocked but could actually be worked around by typing "https" in the URL instead of http. It does something to the security certificate.
The site's name was www.gtfomy.biz. It allows one to get onto youtube but it runs extremely slow and has some fucking gay player that lacks a high quality button.

there's also a U90/U89 proxy that can be accessed off of the internet. In fact, many people were storing it in the school's local drives as well as a bunch of other shit. One of the things was a Halo 1 PC demo! That's what caused the final straw. They started to hand out suspensions after they discovered and deleted everything from the local :\\M drive.

Congratulations, but you're probably the only other person here who understands it. I only know every third or fourth word.

Whoops! The first part should have been: "Si enim latinis examplaribus fides est adhibenda". I'll have to look back at my translation.

My school had stuff like Unreal Tournament, Commander Keen (with DOSBox), and Call of Duty 2 on the local drives. The teachers didn't mind and if I didn't know any better I'd say they put them there.

Why DO schools block websites? Yeah, I can understand porn and shopping, but why block forums, games, downloads, violence and occasionally Youtube?

(My school blocks all of the above, for a short time, Youtube was blocked too. Why?)

Because you're supposed to be doing schoolwork, perhaps?
