With the stuff we read, our faculty has no reason to block porn and violence.

Why DO schools block websites? Yeah, I can understand porn and shopping, but why block forums, games, downloads, violence and occasionally Youtube?

(My school blocks all of the above, for a short time, Youtube was blocked too. Why?)

Because you're supposed to be doing schoolwork, perhaps?

Yes, but we use the computers after school, too.

Yes, but if we do get detention, we will have to stay after school and use the computers. I prefer working at home.

I got a message on my Youtube homepage this afternoon:

"Apply for partnership to take advantage of your popular video: Jurassic Park Dinosaur Battles Part 7"

It means that I have the right to apply for a youtube partnership. I'm kind of nervous about doing it though.

From what I've heard it's a bad idea, as it means you can't use copyrighted material or something.

I'm giving it a few more days of thought.

Good idea; it sounds like a big decision.

Yes, I assume partners are given more scrutiny since they do make money off of it

I decided not to. Its not the money I wanted it for anyway. I wanted it to post videos longer than 10 minutes for free.
